History of Sequence Manages Software, LLC

Sequence Managers Software, LLC, (SMS) was formed in February of 2004, but the foundation for the company was laid beginning two years earlier, in 2002.

In 2002 the HUI 7 project to convert VistA to a platform suitable for private use began. The team of seven who worked on this project included Brian Lord, the CEO of Sequence Managers Software, LLC  and five other team members who now work with Brian at Sequence Managers Software, LLC.  In 2004, Brian was part of the team that took the HUI 7 version of VistA and modified it to work for the clinical environment of a clinic in Denver, CO, and the first version of OnDemandCARE™ was created.  The next four years were spent adapting the software for use in a variety of environments, including individual practices, clinics and hospitals and regional healthcare providers.  During this time, with the help of the VistA community, Sequence Managers Software, LLC worked to perfect delivering OnDemandCARE™ through a SaaS model so now it can be offered entirely via the Internet.
